Federica, 37, is a member of the Rubongi Young Mothers Saving Group in Rubongi, near Tororo, Uganda. She lives in a small mud house and provides for her seven children. Thanks to her mandazi business, she has significantlyimproved her economic situation and is proud of what she has achieved. The other 14 women in her savings group are equally happy. Each of them hasinvested her loan wisely and successfully. Cynthia, who coordinates the group and attended the STARTHILFEKENIA Congress in 2024, is equally impressed by the remarkable progress made by all the women. At the end of 2025, the group received a loan of approximately €1,000. Within just four months, all of the women had successfully transformed their businesses andsignificantly improved their lives. The group members have known each other for six years. They meet regularly and began by making small savings contributions together. Cynthia, who maintains close contact with the women, is available to support them whenever they need advice or assistance.
We are delighted to support Cynthia and this group of determined women, and we look forward to continuing our partnership with them in the future.
